General-Transit-Feed-Specification (GTFS)

General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) and Google Transit allow publicly available route data of transit agencies’ schedules and stops to be published and become part of a global data repository provided by other agencies therefore helping agencies accomplish their ultimate goal of serving their riders. GTFS feeds provide information to riders so that they can better plan trips and find connections easily across participating agencies, in turn helping increase ridership for the agency. Prior to posting route data on Google Transit, it requires some prep work such as marking GPS co-ordinates of all the stops, compiling route details as per GTFS standards, working with Google Transit QA team, testing and finally Go-Live. Team VITS can assist agencies with entire GTFS project life cycle. We have developed GTFS app to facilitate the process of going live of Google Transit hosted GTFS feed in quick and cost effective manner.

  • Create and update feeds quickly.
  • Integrated with GTFS App.
  • State of the art backend system for creating and keeping feeds current.
